From 99e6b7ceb93db5ce9c4b70619c6ead5a2aaa281c Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Dennis Fink Date: Tue, 19 May 2026 18:31:43 +0200 Subject: feat(output): make ffmpeg loglevel configurable Add --ffmpeg-loglevel so users can choose which ffmpeg messages are shown during encoding instead of always using the built-in default. Load the same setting from [output].ffmpeg_loglevel when it is configured and no CLI value was provided. Document the new option in the README and man page, and add shell completion for supported ffmpeg log levels. --- transcode.sh.bash-completion | 12 ++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 12 insertions(+) (limited to 'transcode.sh.bash-completion') diff --git a/transcode.sh.bash-completion b/transcode.sh.bash-completion index ea3bf74..160eb6f 100644 --- a/transcode.sh.bash-completion +++ b/transcode.sh.bash-completion @@ -38,6 +38,7 @@ _transcode_sh() { local codecs='h264 hevc av1 vp8 vp9 mpeg2video mpeg4 mjpeg theora' local nice_vals='0 5 10 15 19' local hwaccel_methods='auto cuda vaapi dxva2 d3d11va videotoolbox qsv' + local ffmpeg_loglevels='quiet panic fatal error warning info verbose debug trace' # --------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Handle --option=VALUE: cur contains the entire "--opt=val" token. @@ -85,6 +86,11 @@ _transcode_sh() { COMPREPLY=($(compgen -W "$hwaccel_methods" -- "$cur")) return ;; + --ffmpeg-loglevel=*) + cur="${cur#*=}" + COMPREPLY=($(compgen -W "$ffmpeg_loglevels" -- "$cur")) + return + ;; esac # --------------------------------------------------------------------------- @@ -125,6 +131,10 @@ _transcode_sh() { COMPREPLY=($(compgen -W "$hwaccel_methods" -- "$cur")) return ;; + --ffmpeg-loglevel) + COMPREPLY=($(compgen -W "$ffmpeg_loglevels" -- "$cur")) + return + ;; esac # --------------------------------------------------------------------------- @@ -146,6 +156,8 @@ _transcode_sh() { --dry-run --encode-file --encode-file= + --ffmpeg-loglevel + --ffmpeg-loglevel= --help --hwaccel --hwaccel= -- cgit v1.3.1
