11 daysfix(commands): classify command failures for retriesDennis Fink
Allow command invocations to define which child exit codes are considered successful, including checkupdates exit status 2 when no updates are available. Classify unexpected child command failures as exporter exit status 1 so systemd treats them as runtime failures eligible for retry. Keep exit status 2 for CLI usage errors, which are configuration problems and should not be retried. Update the systemd service with RestartPreventExitStatus=2 so only retryable runtime failures trigger the configured restart policy.
11 daysfeat(systemd): retry failed exporter runsDennis Fink
Update the systemd service to restart the exporter on failure up to five times with a ten-minute delay between attempts. Update the systemd timer to use Persistent=true so missed daily runs are triggered after downtime, and remove network-online ordering from the timer. Keep network-online ordering on the service and remove the stale borg cache reference from its hardening comment.
12 daysfix(systemd): wait for network to be onlineDennis Fink
Order the exporter service and timer after network-online.target and add a Wants dependency so network connectivity is established before they run.
2026-09-20fix(systemd): avoid catch-up timer runsDennis Fink
Remove Persistent=true so missed daily runs are not triggered automatically when the system comes back online.
2026-09-20fix(systemd): allow pacman commands to runDennis Fink
Remove syscall restrictions that prevent pacman and related subprocesses from running successfully under the systemd service. Also remove the outdated comment about ProtectSystem and ProtectHome.
2026-09-20feat(systemd): add service and timer unitsDennis Fink
Add a hardened oneshot service for running the exporter with arguments loaded from /etc/conf.d/prometheus-pacman-exporter. Add a persistent daily timer for automatic metric collection and include a default empty configuration file for additional command-line options.
